Floyd Rose

EMG pickups, SA-SA-85.

Pickup switching: output is either 5-way switch (85 as single coil) or 85 as humbucker, via push-push pot. So for humbucker out you push the tone pot. Push it again and you have the output from the 5-way switch. Works nicely and looks neat.

Electronics include EMG expander and middle or presence boost (I ordered a middle boost, but I think they installed a presence boost). This guitar doesn't need either of those, the sound is fantastic without them.

Original deluxe hard shell case (deluxe includes some extra padding, but if you didn't know, you wouldn't notice anything different)

Finish is in excellent condition, there's only one minor dent in the headstock, easy to fix if it bothers. Look at the photo, it's right next to Valley Arts logo.

Sound is typical for a (good) maple body. Good definition and separation of notes. When you play a chord, all the notes are easy to hear. Fast runs, the notes fall into the ears of the listener with separation. I've used it for parts that need to be heard, either at front or in the back of the mix. It cuts through without being overly aggressive, still easy to mix. The separation also means you can effect this guitar with gazillion effects and the notes are still there. Great for ear candy parts.

It's easy to impact the tone by changing the pick angle, so if your picking technique is solid, you'll love what you can do with this (of course, if you're picking technique is not there, it'll be obvious to everyone... I don't mean how fast you can play, I mean the quality of tone produced.).

I'm the original owner, used it mainly in studio. I think I've played it in less than 20 live gigs, found out back then that it's just too nice of an instrument to have on stage (and leave on stage during breaks etc.). My last professional gig was over 20 years ago, so it's time to let others enjoy this instrument (and others I have).

I'll find the original paper work and update the details, as well as upload more photos. Stay tuned.
