Neck: Birdeye Maple not the original neck, this now has a replacement neck ordered from Samick VA custom shop shortly before it closed down in the city of industry LA circa year 2000 after the original neck got snapped.

This guitar has quite a story! Originally owned by Michael Casswell who sold around 1996 to Lee Slater, both guitarists based in the UK at the time.

Lee was traveling home from a gig late one night when his car boot opened after going over a bump in the road entering a roundabout, Lee felt that something had fallen from his car boot and decided to go around the roundabout to check, upon doing this he run over his guitar bag which contained his VA guitar.
once home lee checked the guitar but unfortunately the head stock had completely cracked in half.

Lee contacted Samick and they put him through to the Los Angeles VA custom shop in the city of industry which was still in operation.
Lee spoke to the workshop manager and explained what had happened, it was agreed that if Lee sent them the broken neck they would build him a new one exactly the same and with the serial number re stamped in the headstock.
Lee did this and about 3 months later they sent him a new replacement neck.
one thing to Add is there's some road rash on the upper horn at the back of the guitar.
