Recently reacquainted with VA Strat #0104 Adam Levine -built at Studio City Store. Circa 1984-85. I recall I had a hand in its initial build 40 years ago upstairs in VA Guitar Repair. Required complete rebuild the Kahler tremolo , new bearings, Truss Rod adjustment , fret polish , apply beeswax/lavender to fretboard ( as was standard at VA) , cleaned electronics Caig DeOxit , restore a full pickguard shield to eliminate strum static crackles - somewhere in its history the pickups were swapped for Tom Anderson stacked humbuckers with three way voice switches. Restrung with 10-52 EB Strings, first Dipped ball ends in super Glue ( the SIT mod) , minor Nut slot cleanup, lubricate with Ivory soap flakes. Ordered a Vintage Kahler Trem bar, nut lock, stretch the strings, Strobe intonate = best original Kahler equipped Guitar I've played.
