Old style Duncan Little ‘59/neck
I purchased the guitar from Texas Guitar and Sound in Lewisville, Texas in about 2002. It was supposedly a personal guitar of the shop Owner. Color is best described as a transparent orange. I replaced the gold Floyd license Kahler that was on it, as the original trem was done. Could not find one like it at the time, and still don’t know the particular model of the trem, or what will fit. I need to know that. Perhaps you guys can help. The guitar has a sort of bright, Strat-like sound, although beefier, due to the humbuckers. The neck is very fast, with a 12 or 12 1/2 inch radius. New fretwire. And it has some minor dings and dents/playwear. Back plate is missing. I probably have it somewhere, though I wouldn’t know where. I have tried to find guitars that suit my playing style better, but this guitar fits me very well. The neck is a little narrow for me, but most of the time I don’t even notice. If I ever have to replace the neck, I don’t know what I’ll do. It does jazz, country, rock, and blues very easily. At one time I had a mega-switch on it. I will probably do that again, as it yielded a very Tele-like vibe with the switch in the center. So I think this guitar was built in ‘83 or ‘84, but I have never been able to verify that. Perhaps you could let me know? Anyway, the sound and playability of this guitar are unmatched, even by custom shop or handmade guitars I have played. Btw the neck has been steel-wooled, by me, as the neck finish can get a mite sticky. Fantastic guitar. Thanks!
